6 of My Favorite Podcasts for 2018

12/19/2017 0 Comments

I have recently stumbled upon some amazing Podcasts that cover all sorts of topics and as a result I find myself listening to them every chance I get. I’ll let them play while I get ready in the morning, in the car, at work, and even on the treadmill. They have become such a positive part of my day and I always walk away having learned something new.

I think I had previously assumed that all Podcasts were targeted towards an older audience or were quite frankly boring, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. There is truly something for everyone, as made evident by this list.

Whether you are an avid listener like me, or even the slightest bit curious to incorporate Podcasts into your routine, here is a list of my favorite’s for you to check out as we head into 2018.

When Life Gives You Melons with Maya Jama by Freya

This Brit-based podcast is hosted by TV & Radio presenter Maya Jama and put on by Freya, the popular lingerie brand. This eight part series is targeted towards the modern busy woman and covers some amazing topics like navigating a friendship breakups and career advice from some of the U.K.’s most recognized women.

While this is only an 8 part series, the topics are so wonderful. I have saved multiple episodes to my phone to listen to more than once. Be sure to give this podcast a listen!

We Heard What by Danielle Bernstein of @weworewhat

Danielle Bernstein has found mega success at the ripe age of 25 through her style blog, We Wore What. Since launching her blog in 2010, she has built and expanded her brand exponentially. Now she has entered the world of Podcasts to share her knowledge of blogging, fashion, business, and life.

She’s only a few episodes into this new passion project, but so far she has interviewed some of New York’s biggest names. She is also completely unafraid to go there on some of those more taboo topics. This is a great podcast for any 20-something out there interested in blogging, fashion, and the complicated social lives of millennials.

The Balanced Blonde Podcast // Soul On Fire by Jordan Younger

Jordan of The Balanced Blonde has been sharing her unique perspective on this world through her popular Instagram page and blog, but her Podcast is where it’s at. She covers some taboo and far out topics, but at the heart of it all is her love for wellness and self love.

As someone who values a healthy lifestyle, I find her podcast to be a breath of fresh air. All of her guests are amazing and you’ll always walk away having learned something new.

The Influencer Podcast with Julie Solomon

If you are in any way interested in the world of social media and blogging influence, this podcast is a must! This is a resource I wish I had at the beginning of my social media and blogging journey. Julie interviews some of the most knowledgeable and popular names in the world of social influence to give her listeners all of the tools and tips they will need to find success.

Whether you are an “influencer” or small business owner looking to improve your online presence, her hacks to social media growth are invaluable.

Your Kickass Life with Andrea Owen

Andrea’s podcast is the perfect morning pep talk. Just like the title suggests, she serves up weekly self help and straight talk about all your favorite topics. Her personality shines through in her humor and she will have you smiling on the treadmill or on the car ride to work.

I’m a firm believer that we are what we tell our brain, and it can’t hurt to fill your noggin with her advice and healthy perspective on self love.

Ted Talks Daily

This podcast has been such a great addition to my library. Similarly to Andrea’s self help podcast, I find that my day always improves after listening to an episode. We are all students of life and this is an awesome way to learn something new every day.

If you haven’t already, check out my 5 favorite podcasts from earlier this year here. They are great additions to this list!

Happy Listening!
